My jewelry possesses design principals like those I used in architecture. My jewelry is three-dimensional. Form follows function in its relationship with the body. Pure shape, sculptural form and architectural details distinguish it. I combine these architectural characteristics with a modern design sensibility to create a line that is unique yet sensual, clean and simple yet bold and full of expression, beautiful to look at and fun to wear. All jewelry is cast and finished in sterling silver or 18K gold in New York. All pieces are stamped with our logo, .925 or 18K.
Some pieces are available in 18K gold vermeil (sterling silver with layers of 18K gold plate).
ARTIST STATEMENT
I combine my art and architectural background with my modern design aesthetic to create a luxury signature brand of uniquely three-dimensional jewelry that is architecturally inspired. The elegant, bold, timeless and unisex rings, earrings, collars, pendants, links, bracelets, cuff and belt buckles are sculpture for the body.
Inspired by the design and craftsmanship of my native Manhattan’s architecture, the Bauhaus, Weiner Werkstätte, Art Deco and Vienna Secession movements and Georg Jensen’s work, I design bold statement pieces of varying scale with clean lines, sculptural geometric form and refined architectural detail. Designs are carved in wax and cast in sterling silver and 18K gold using the lost wax method, and often finished with semi-precious stones, diamonds, leather and silk cord. From my retail architecture to jewelry designs, the human body and experience is at the functional core. My jewelry’s precious metal weight and sculptural form work with the body, move with the body and feel good on. Sophisticated and fun to wear, my designs offer the wearer the creativity to adjust, mix and stack the designs to create their personal statement. I photograph my designs using light and shadow to emphasize the three-dimensionality of each piece. I explore intersecting form, positive and negative space, light, texture and the human experience in my architecture, jewelry, photography, collage and sculpture.
